Mumble where your character is so voices fade with distance.Voice Island Proximity PluginREQUIREDThis is a false alarm, and here is the honest reason: the plugin is now code-signed, but a signature does not buy instant trust. Browsers and Windows judge a program partly by how many people have already downloaded it, and every new release starts that count at zero — so a brand-new file can still be blocked on reputation alone. Nothing was found in it.
The download is a .zip — that is all a .mumble_plugin file is. A zip cannot carry a signature, so if you right-click it and open Digital Signatures that tab is empty, and that is normal. The signature is on the plugin itself, inside: unzip it and check voice_island_proximity.dll, which is signed by Sopittha Kiatkaisorn. For the download as a whole, the SHA-256 below is the check.
Don’t just click through a security warning on our say-so. Check the file is really ours first — paste this into PowerShell after downloading:
If the result matches the SHA-256 above, you have our file, untampered. If it does not match, delete it and tell an admin — do not install it.
Signing is on the way, which will stop these warnings for good.
Mumble will pop up a dialog: “Install plugin Voice Island Proximity?” → click Yes. Mumble, go to Configure → Plugins. Find Voice Island → tick ✓ Enable → click OK. Mumble first, then try again.
